Exclusive Release only available at the RAF Marham AHC – One of our Volunteers Mrs Susan Roe has written an amazing account of her Father’s World War 2 experiences throughout his amazing career. He was based at RAF Marham with 38 Squadron as a Pilot flying Wellington Bombers, then when the Squadron moved to the Middle East he went with them. He then became a Hurricane Pilot and Ferry Pilot in the North African desert campaign, it was during this time he crash landed a Hurricane in a remote part of the desert and had to survive during his walk to freedom. He then went back to flying Wellington Bombers again and was shot down on a raid. Surviving the shoot-down he became a POW at Stalag Luft 3, famous for the Wooden Horse and Great Escape. He also survived the Long March at the end of the War.

This is a truly amazing account, taken directly from his personal diary with many of his own sketches, maps and photographs. With a hardback cover it is 167 pages and is only available from the Centre shop.
